ABOUT US

Greenleap Solar’s Founder, Eddie, started working in Connecticut in the banking industry at a very young age; first as a personal banker, later dealing with SBA funding and home equity services.  He learned a ton about personal finances, and encountered so many people who were struggling financially that he developed a big passion around wanting to help better people financially.

Another of Eddie’s passions is music.  He began by giving music lessons from his mom’s basement.  With his entrepreneur mindset he grew his music business into two full studios with teachers, producers, and instruments for sale.   Upon learning his main distributor had decided to elope to the solar industry, Eddie soon followed suit.

After spending a little over a year with one of the oldest companies in solar, Eddie then transitioned to a newer company with a startup mentality.  There, after a year the owner promoted him to build and grow the sales team and strategy.  Within another year Eddie had a few realizations:

• Neither of those companies aligned well with his values and convictions

• There was a lot of misrepresentation in the solar industry as a whole

• No one was talking about ALL of the different options there were for going solar (e.g. PPA, lease, own).  Instead of doing what was best for the homeowner, the salesperson was doing what was best for the company.

Eddie took a big step back, and took a year off to do a great deal of soul searching.  He decided to move to Florida and open up his own solar company operating as a broker, so that he could help homeowners better.  He had gained a ton of knowledge about the solar industry, knew how companies were doing things, and wanted to improve the solar industry.

Eddie’s company is now in its third year of business.  He and his family have recently relocated back to Connecticut, and he and his team are helping homeowners go solar in 35+ states.  With each consultation Greenleap Solar discusses every option and tailors a plan to fit the specific needs of both the homeowner's finances and their home.
